Martin Skinner – Founder & CEO

Martin Skinner

A seasoned entrepreneur and property investor, Martin has experienced many of the highs and lows of business and property investment over the years and remains a passionate advocate of small businesses, private investment and property development in London.

He set up, grew and sold his first technology business directly after leaving university with a Business Computing degree. He then developed a substantial high-yield portfolio of houses rented out to young professionals around Canary Wharf. Nice Group - a fast growing London property development and management group - soon followed, as did two substantial joint ventures with large fund managers. After establishing portfolios of more than £150m (yielding more than 10% gross), Martin and his business partners sold 25% of their £30m operating business.

He now combines experience in London property investment, finance and technology through Inspired Asset Management. With a portfolio approaching £350m GDV, Inspired has established a number of substantial Joint Ventures through which it is rolling out its unique high-tech, high-spec, and affordable private housing across Greater London.

As an expert on residential property development in London, Martin is a regular speaker at Real Estate Fund conferences and forums including MIPIM, PIN, Euromoney, and CASS Business School. He has also featured prominently in the BAFTA award winning BBC series The Tower as well as in Property Week, the Financial Times and on BBC Radio 4 and 5.

Magdalena Skinner – Founder & COO

Magdalena Skinner

Magdalena Skinner founded Inspired Holdings with Martin Skinner in April 2012 and serves as its COO. She is also CEO of Inspired by Construction and Inspired by London. Prior to establishing Inspired Holdings, Magdalena worked at Nice Group in Acquisitions and at HSBC Bank PLC Regional Service Centre, Europe and P.R.E.S.C.O as a debt recovery specialist.

Previous financial experience also includes Kredyt Bank S.A Poland. Prior to her involvement with London property development companies, Magdalena spent the first part of her career running her family's hotel and restaurant business in Poland. She holds a masters' degree in Economics from the University of Economics in Poland.

Jeremy Beck – Development Director

Jeremy Beck

Jeremy’s experience in planning, designing and managing of construction and major infrastructure projects spans more than 30 years. It reaches from the UK, Indonesia and Hong Kong to Brunei and Africa - from hotels and residential schemes to airfields, highways and bridges. Jeremy brings to Inspired the experience and knowledge gained as Managing Director of JAMM Construction Consultancy Ltd, Associate Director of Carillion plc, an Executive Director of Clarke Bond Group and Non-Executive Director for Parmarbrook Ltd amongst other notable positions. Expertise in management, business development, civil engineering and technical delivery of projects make him a key part of the Inspired management team.

Martin Nathan – Finance Director

Martin Nathan

Martin has been our Head of Finance since June 2015. His previous experience included roles as Financial Controller at PSL Group and Nice Group, a property development company. His experience includes a broad range of financial and commercial responsibilities including change management, system implementation and internal controls. Martin is an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and holds a BSc degree in Mathematics.

Neil Taylor – Sales Director

Neil Taylor

Neil joined Inspired after working with Countrywide Land and New Homes across their South East Region.

Neil’s experience in the field of New Homes with a wide range of developer clients including Bryant, Taylor Wimpey, Galliard, Berkeley and Crest, gives him unparalleled knowledge of varied sales and marketing strategies for a range of developments and markets.

Neil also ran his own property consultancy for 4 years working for retained clients on land acquisition, sales and marketing management and development appraisal.


Peter Ball – Investment / Acquisition Director

Peter Ball

Peter has over 30 years of experience in the commercial property sector specialising over the last 20 years in investment and fund management.

As Head of Property at Sun Life of Canada he was responsible for restructuring the property team and implementing a revised investment process which under-pinned award winning performance across various client portfolios. Consistency of performance was recognised by awards including the Public Treasurers Investment Award 2000 and the Estates Gazette/Investment Property Forum Awards in 2000/2001.

Peter has direct experience of acquisition, asset management, development and disposal in the retail, retail warehousing, office, industrial and warehouse sectors of the real estate market.

Neil Kerridge - Head of Project Management

Neil Kerridge

Neil has more than 30 years engineering and management experience in the construction industry, working in both consulting and contracting environments on projects around the UK and in the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions. A Chartered Civil and Structural Engineer, he has worked across a wide range of project types and sectors, from residential and commercial developments to transportation, environmental, geotechnical, maritime and industrial commissions.

Now specialising in Project and Design Management, he brings to Inspired this technical background allied to commercial experience, having fulfilled the role of Contract Administrator / Engineer on many projects. Primarily tasked with managing Inspired's Impact House scheme, he will also input across the company's development activities

Irfan Ahmad – Finance Manager

Irfan Ahmad

Irfan is a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants UK. He started his career as an audit trainee with BDO and worked in practice for over seven years gaining extensive audit and financial reporting experience. His first role in the Property sector was that of a Financial Accountant with Galliard Homes where he gained valuable insight and experience in property development.

Before joining Inspired Group he was working as a Senior Fund Accountant in the Financial Services sector for Augentius UK. His role comprised of providing financial reporting services to a portfolio of Real Estate and Private Equity Funds and managing a team of accountants.

As Finance Manager he is responsible for the management and operations of the finance function and providing support for various developments across London.

Allan Grimshaw – Commercial & Development Manager

Allan Grimshaw

Allan brings an invaluable mix of business expertise and property experience to the Inspired team. He started off in the construction industry, training and studying as a Building Services QS before working on the multi-million pound development of the London Hilton Metropole Hotel.

A change in direction led to a degree in Business and Finance and a successful career in sales, marketing and commercial management at blue-chip corporations such as IBM, Virgin Group and O2.

But his interest and passion for construction came calling once more and in 2014 Allan joined Inspired Asset Management as a senior team member. With a broad remit across both commercial and development projects, he is leading our high profile development at Green Dragon House, Croydon.

Stuart Ross – Property Investment Advisor

Stuart Ross

Stuart's passion is connecting investors to the right deal in today's highly profitable real estate environment. His extensive experience in property investment dates back to 1993, before which he pursued an investment banking career. This long track record has allowed Stuart to develop a vast network of motivated, experienced, and results-driven property experts and investors.

At Inspired, Stuart is involved in managing deals all the way from inception to investor packs. His thorough research and analysis helps to ensure that investors receive a clear and concise view of any deal and how it will benefit them.

He also hosts a monthly property meeting in Croydon, where an average audience of 80 people hears from guest speakers discussing the latest property investment strategies.

April Thomas – Investment Analyst

April Thomas

Having studied at the University of California Los Angeles completing a Bachelor’s degree in Literature, April completed a Law conversion course at the University of Law in London.

After two years working in Sales within the finance and risk industries dealing with the world’s largest banking institutions, April has now turned her attention to Property Investment.

April is a valuable addition to the Investment Team and focusses on capital raising and investor relations. 




Oliver Baldwin – Investment Analyst

Oliver Baldwin

Oliver has recently graduated with a 2:1 in Real Estate Finance and Investment from Cass Business School. During his time at university he worked part time at a listed property fund in the city, learning the practical elements of owning and managing a large £400+ million commercial property portfolio across the UK.

In addition to site visits, appraisals and new marketing techniques to let vacant units, Oliver also gained experience in industry-specific valuation packages such as Argus. It offered an invaluable extra dimension to the intensive academic studies that covered an impressively wide range of subjects: appraisal techniques for a range of asset classes, Real Estate Valuation and Appraisal, Real Estate Law and Real Estate Taxation. Oliver specialised in Real Estate during his final year to complete an exceptionally strong and wide-ranging knowledge of the industry.

Ben Ivory – Investment Analyst

Ben began his property career with an internship at Barratt Homes where he acquired valuable insight into all areas of the development process from site assessment to new build sales. Ben then went on to work at Christie & Co as a commercial negotiator within the Retail & Healthcare sectors gaining experience in property acquisition, research, marketing and sales. Ben furthered his studies with an MA in Commercial Property at the University of Sheffield. With experience in both residential and commercial property across a variety of sectors and markets, Ben is a great addition to our Acquisitions Team where he is analysing acquisition opportunities and liaising with the various professional teams to assist in the development process.

James Ball – Development Manager

James Ball

James joined Inspired Asset Management as a graduate surveyor armed with a 2.1 in Real Estate Management from Oxford Brookes University. As the third generation of his family to go into the profession, the industry is in his blood.

He brings a wealth of previous industry experience including internships with the National Investment team at Jones Lang Lasalle, the Acquisitions & Disposals team at Mapeley, the Real Estate department at Linklaters, and even a brief spell at Acuitus - a leading commercial auctioneer.

James currently assists in the the day to day management and analysis of acquisitions, working closely with our retained agents. He also makes a valuable contribution to a range of other daily appraisal and investor relationships tasks across the business.

Oliver Boag – Acquisitions

Oliver Boag

Oliver’s focus is Inspired’s Acquisition and Development. After graduating from Oxford Brookes University with a BSc (Hons) in Real Estate Management in 2011, Oliver joined Inspired Asset Management as an intern assisting with daily acquisition work. He then secured a job at ARGUS software, providing property investment and development modelling training and appraisal support to property service providers and owners. After two and half years at ARGUS, Oliver re-joined Inspired Asset Management and its Acquisition and Development team.

Gili Cohen – Investment Analyst

Gili Cohen

Gili was brought on to the Inspired Asset team in 2015. He studied Accounting and Finance in Manchester and is on course to complete his ACCA certification. Gili started his career at Yellow Brick Capital Advisers where he focused on reporting and analysis. His responsibilities included financial and real estate modelling & reporting, preparing internal due diligence reports, investor presentations and periodic reporting on investments. Gili now works within the Inspired finance team where he assists in the acquisitions and researching of investments and the creation of presentations aimed at UHNWI.

Julia Fuchs – Accounts

Julia Fuchs

Julia Fuchs joined Inspired Asset Management in August 2014 and works in the department Accounting & Finance. She is responsible for ensuring the effective operation of accounting and all financial activities. She graduated in Business Administration (B.Sc.) from the University of Duisburg-Essen (Germany). After her study she gained her first work experience in the field of finance in Vancouver (Canada).

Ewelina Niewiadomska – Accounts

Ewelina Niewiadomska

Ewelina skillset and sharp mind are obvious having completed a First Class Honours degree in 2013 studying Accounting with Management at the University of Westminster. Ewelina then went on to study for her ACCA qualification at Katherine and Kings College of London which she achieved with first time passes and is now working toward becoming a chartered accountant. Inspired is Ewelina's first job in the accountancy field and she is a vital member of the team.

Harry Wright – Acquisitions

Harry Wright

Harry registered his interest in property from a young age, gaining invaluable experience in firms such as Savills, BNP Paribas and Sladen Capital Partners.

Having recently graduated from Oxford Brookes with a BA Hons in Geography and Business Management, he offers a variety of skills which allow him to view new locations and potential sites from a different point of view, making him a valuable member of the acquisitions team. He is keen to further his learning and is exploring options for undertaking an MA in Property Finance alongside gaining further experience in the workplace.

Toby d'Ambrumenil – Sales & Management Analyst

Toby d'Ambrumenil

Toby joined Inspired as an Intern in September 2015, after a gaining some valuable experience in the Property industry. Toby previously worked with DNA Property in Falmouth, who specialise in sourcing and redeveloping student property into HMO’s for private investors. This sparked his entrepreneurial spirit where he further developed an app concept for sourcing student housing. After his invaluable contributions during his internship, Toby joined Inspired as a permanent member.

Vitalij Kolesnik – Investment Analyst

Vitalij Kolesnik

Vitalij started his career by doing internships in a Lithuanian construction company called Alvora and an investment management firm called Finasta. He joined RBS UK as a summer intern in 2010 and a year later came back as a full-time employee and spent 3 years there, working in Structured Finance, Real Estate Finance and Market Strategy and Solutions both in Edinburgh and London. Vitalij has worked on his Real Estate Crowdfund in Dubai and London for two years before joining Inspired Asset Management.

He has a Distinction MSc in Real Estate from the Cass Business School, an Upper Division Second Class Honours BSc in Management Science from the London School of Economics and has passed all three levels of the CFA Program.
